KP Ranch is a family owned and operated business that has been raising top quality Miniature Hereford cattle since 1997. Recently we opened a new door in the industry launching an online meat business, “KP Heritage Hereford Beef”. Our business of over 30 years was built and maintained on “Integrity”. In the beginning we changed from a commercial cow herd to registered Miniature Hereford cattle with the goal of having the best bulls in the industry. Well, that time came and the goal was achieved, along with many other goals along the way each one set a step higher than the one before. As the herd grew and we won banner after banner and a wall full of buckles, things continued to change and we got older, the kids grew up and started lives of their own. Now with limited manual laborers and the same or more work to do, a herd dispersal seemed the rout to take. So we did that too. But THAT didn’t work. As many don’t. If you love what you do, you do what you love and you just switch directions. So we did that too. Several years of embryo transfer work to produce just the BEST calves from the best momma cows seemed like less work. Well….not everything is as it seems…that is a very labor intensive project. After a couple back surgeries and more physical limitations, and the addition of an ambitious young future cattleman, we set our sights in yet another direction. While we have always sold beef to family and friends, we have now developed another way to fulfill our passion for Hereford cattle by sharing with YOU. Where ever you are.
KP Heritage Hereford Beef is all home raised right here at the ranch, possibly purchased as young stock but finished here at the ranch with no growth hormones, implants or animal by-products, until it reaches perfection. Locally processed, it is aged for maximum tenderness and flash frozen for ultimate freshness, and shipped directly to you. It is available as a one-time purchase or you can subscribe so it comes to you at your convenience automatically.
